Fecundity is an essay by Anne Dillard about the dark side of nature. That nature is wasteful and equally abundant; that it is beautiful and equally disgusting. Our goal was to take the essence of this essay and create style frames for the hypothetical opening titles. We wanted to capture an abstract representation of nature that stays true to the descriptive language of Anne Dillard. Dillard uses a lot of words like slimy, wet, and sticky in her essay. Slime is a flexible medium that we decided can be incorporated with typography in a unique way.
